What do i need to open a business account?
The following company documents will be required to verify your business’s legitimacy:
- Certificate of Incorporation
- Memorandum and Articles of Association
- Shareholder register/latest confirmation statement
- Register of Directors
- Proof of address, including principal trading address (if different to registered address)
- Company structure chart (if a group)
- License (or equivalent) if carrying out regulated activities
- AML and KYC policies if carrying out certain regulated activities
- Unique tax identifier, VAT details or local equivalent
In addition, company Directors and every shareholder who holds more than 10% of shares must provide:
- Proof of ID (e.g. passport, Drivers Licence, National identification card)
- Proof of residential address (e.g. Utility bill from the last 90 days, bank statement from the last 90 days, a recent council tax bill or equivalent)
